Monty Ranch
Previously at Monty Ranch: Mercutio and Carla had their very first baby together - a girl named Emilia. Romeo in the meanwhile went on a mission to Woohoo 20 Simmies and succeeded! His explorative activities however, lead to an unplanned baby boy with Amy Platz which, after the drama there, lead to Romeo gaining the custody and a new sense of family responsibility.
Romeo isn't even awake yet, and his son Edmund, the next heir of the Monty family, lies on the doorstep.
Better get little Edmund in quick before the winter cold gives the social worker reason to visit.
Time to finally give the little boy some love and care...
This also means the nursery will be a little extra crowded, now that both Emilia AND Edmund sleep, play and go potty in it.
While Mercutio is playing the guitar to get a skill point...
I notice Kendra McCarthy lurking behind the PC downstairs...
Romeo ended last round with a want to get engaged to her... but last post Romeo witnessed Kendra flirting with Ralph, which caused a jealous spark...
Can things still be salvaged?
Apparently it can.
While the two reconciled lovebirds end up on an impromptu date...
... Mercutio gets that skill point...
... and Romeo gives Amy a proper final resting place.
After Romeo has to take care of Edmund real quick...
... he and Kendra continue things where they left off.
And soon...
Romeo whips it out.
Kendra said yes!
Who also said yes is Carla's boss when she asked for a promotion!
Not much time to celebrate - Mercutio is off to work already and Emilia needs to go potty...
Romeo also has to break off the date...
... for he has a birthday bash to plan for Edmund! - which means the New Years Bash has to be skipped here for this year.
What joy - we'll be having TWO toddlers in this household, and only THREE adults to raise them. At least Carla isn't pregnant...
The guests have arrived - and Cyd Roseland seems to not have forgiven Viola Dottore yet for fighting back after HE picked her pockets.
That escalated quickly.
Imagine if Viola died here and now already, leaving her two kids orphaned immediately?
Luckily that's not the case...
Perhaps we should avoid that risk as much as possible...
... and bring the family together in joyful spirits instead...
... because Adrian has entered his toddling years!
While he's on a quick potty emergency mission...
... Mercutio comes back home at last, with a promotion that puts him almost at the top of the food chain of the Monty Restaurant.
Romeo hangs out a bit with his cousin Carlo, while Edmund has gotten the believe that Felix' kibble is actually quite delicious.
Not again...
This time however it's Aunt Viola who emerges victorious over Uncle Cyd.
Oh hi there Edmund.
Mercutio distracted his aunt for long enough to keep any further fights from happening, ending the party in good spirits.
With all social activities done, it's time for the Montys to return to their daily routines.
Trying to squeeze in as much time for themselves to tend their own needs and develop their own skills...
... while two toddlers are craving for attention as well.
Not only do they need love and care...
... they also need to learn their life skills, too.
Luckily we have a butler who does his share of the housework.
Or, hires people to do the jobs he refuses to do.
Among the hectic family life, Felix aged up into an elder, too!
Carla finds herself in a work situation!
Welp. That didn't help.
Mercutio and Romeo talk together about all the fighting they had to endure in Veronaville.
After their lunch they go upstairs to take care of Emilia and play some chess, respectively.
Welcome back Carla!
Life goes on in Monty Ranch.
The adults are resilient however, bending their limbs to manage everything their life and kids throw at them.
Carla even manages to work on her charisma, preparing for the steps ahead in her political ambitions.
Time flies however, Viola's birthday is approaching, yet she hasn't fully learned ANY toddler skills yet.
Considering Edmund just learned to walk, it's about time for her to learn some as well.
... such as her potty training.
While grandma Olivia is haunting outside - and I believe this is the very first time HER ghost appeared! - ...
... Emilia also learns to talk!
After some love from her father...
... she's off to play a bit by herself...
... while her parents enjoy one of those rare moments of cuddling in bed together.,
But alas, the comfy bliss didn't last for long, for Edmund woke up this time.
At least Romeo got up to assist as well now.
While being put on the potty, Edmund got curious what that big doggy thing is.
Emilia was a bit more experienced with it - it's for CUDDLES!
With Carla and Romeo at work it's up to Mercutio to keep the household running - when suddenly...
Nice!
A bit of training later and Emilia went from knowing no toddler skills, to knowing all of them within the span of a day!
That's not the only success fate has in story for the Monty's - Carla is gaining a promotion too!
After she takes care of the bills...
... it's Romeo to come home with a big achievement - taking over the spot at the restaurant Mercutio left vacant!
He tops this achievement with teaching Edmund to use the potty properly.
While Mercutio catches up with Nora Zuimelhof...
... Romeo teaches Edmund to talk as well - completing the toddler skill grind for these two young sprouts, just in time for their birthdays to arrive.
Also - I forgot to mention this til now.. but Edmund's favourite colour is red, and his traits are Loves the Outdoors and Light Sleeper.
Normally I'd have thrown a birthday party for Emilia by now, but I got a plan... and said plan means that Carla, Edmund...
... Romeo...
... and Emilia got some more time to gain some skill points!
"Square peg goes in square hole... but where is square hole?"
After feeding Edmund a final bottle, Romeo is off to get ready for bed.
Mercutio and Carla enjoy their sleeping time together...
... Before Mercutio has to get his darling daughter out again...
... and feed her!
How adorable - the two of them enjoy their arts together!
..... before being put to sleep together.
With Carla at work it's Romeo's job to take care of the bills.
Carla meanwhile gets into another situation at work...
... but alas, luck isn't with her yet again.
After a good nap, the toddlers are ready to go for the Big Event.
While Mercutio plays...
... Romeo grabs the phone.
Wait, is this a---
Nah, he's not pregnant, he just got the classic Monty physique.
All the guests got over and the first thing Romeo has to do is lecture his cousin Benedick to behave himself, for the latter has harassed Kendra.
Time to make Kendra feel at home as well...
The Dottore's are having a happy time with the family...
... which sadly has to be interrupted.
It is namely Emilia's turn to age up!
Welcome to elementary school, Emilia.
I hope you'll like school.
This time I did NOT forget to add a new trait - Emilia has inherited Mercutio's sense of humour!
"My Watcher, you've gotten fat."
"Oh well, it's pretty much a family tradition.
All Monty men tend to grow a gut after some point in life."
At 6pm the ages once shift, which means...
... that it's now Edmund's turn...
... to jump into childhood!
What a happy kid!
Edmund grew a perfectionist streak at this point in life!
But... the party is far from over.
Romeo invited Kendra over for a reason.
He glides a ring on Kendra's finger.
She glides a ring on Romeo's finger.
And then the tie is sealed with a kiss!
Fun for the whole family!
And with Emilia and Edmund at elementary school age, they can now hang out and make friends with other neighbourhood kids...
... so having Nora Zuimelhof and her children over helps build those early friendships with their peers.
Kendra has her own way of keeping the peace at bay.
Sometimes money speaks louder than words.
The party ends on good terms!
And just as everyone was heading out, I noticed Amy among the guests.
However, among the people leaving Monty Ranch, was Kendra.
She departed to the Stratford Strip...
... to purchase some new clothes for the kids and herself.
After a quick payment...
... she's on her way back home...
... where her former sweetheart Jihoon LeTourneau is using her absence as an opportunity to kick the bin!
He's not happy with the current state of affairs...
Romeo washes himself off in the shower while Mercutio and Carla retire for the day.
When Kendra returns from her shopping trip, she chooses some aspiration benefits to develop herself.
Speaking of those.. Mercutio got himself Family as a secondary aspiration...
... and Carla spends her points as well.
With Kendra back at home with her Romeo...
... it's time for a little honeymoon date, innit?
She especially think he looks cute with that necklace from Twikkii Island on!
Things seem to heat up well...
... but when things lead to the bedroom, Kendra isn't quite ready just yet...
Kendra instead uses her inner heat to hit the weights!
It pays off - perhaps Isabella somehow rubbed off on her a bit more than expected all the way back when she was on a date with Romeo.
A new dawn breaks and the children need a bit off food before their first day of school.
Romeo spends his time painting.
And juuust after the children leave for school...
Spring is upon the Monty's, cueing us to move on to the next family in Veronaville, who will be the Summerdreams!
How will Mercutio and Carla's careers play out? How will Romeo and Kendra's wedding fare? How will Emilia and Edmund do at school?
