Zuimelhof Family
Previously at the Zuimelhof Family: After Nora gave birth to Kora and Nate, Dora moved out to college. Which came in at a good time, as Nora found herself pregnant again soon after. One season of her, Keith, Carla and Dave working together to teach the toddlers their skills later, with Keith climbing the career ladder in the meanwhile, and North is born, ending the season just as it started.
(The last weeks have been a bit busy and distracting on my end so I'll be a bit more brief with the pictures this post)
After the birth of North...
I got the bad news that both Carla and Dave have been struck by the Veronaville Flu. Better get Carla inside soon...
Nora made breakfast for the family...
... but with the kids going to school not everyone was present.
Dave did make the wise decision to call in sick.
Carla overate at brekkie and lost her fit figure...
Nora rolled a couple of wants to join the workforce. She's not lucky in the newspaper sadly.
While Keith is taking care of North and Dave is watching the cooking channel...
... Nora found an online job opening as a teacher!
Keith's networking with a random downtownie calling is is paying off with a promotion he was eligible for anyway.
After the gardener hugged the cat...
... Keith is off to work.
Welcome home, kids!
Nora teaches both Kora...
And Nate to do their homework, and by the time their studying session is over...
... it's North's birthday!
Happy birthday North!
While eating cake together, Carla healed from her flu!
Time to start the potty training...
While Keith is back home with that promised promotion...
... Carla and Dave have a bit of quality time together and make a snowman!
The penguin approves of the snowman!

With the kids in bed, Nora and Keith decide that they want to have another baby, and get to work!
... if only Nate wasn't such a light sleeper.. that's awkward.
Carla went on a late-night jog and has officially gained back her fitness status!
She's off to bed, while the fairly well-rested Dave stays up to teach little North how to walk.
Amongst, other business.
A new dawn is upon the Zuimelhofs and Nora is off to her first day of work.
It's namely Keith who got the baby bu-- oh no, he just grew a dad bod.
With the kids off to school...
... and Carla and Dave to work...
... it's just Keith at home to take care of North.
Also, pay the bills.
It's also another birthday! Agora just aged up into an elder!
While North is screaming for the sweet release of Outofthecrib...
Carla has a moment at work...
... oh damn. They're bankrupt now...
Guess we'll have to delay the plans I had for a playground for the kids...
The day is pretty much just Keith taking care of North...
... and teaching some toddler skills...
... and soon enough Nora and the kids are back home from school - and now Nora got a flu! Plehhh...
While both gaining some much-needed cash and losing some family friends, North officially learns how to walk from Keith!
The new cashflow comes at an opportune time for Carla...
... to take out the car...
... and go to the Veronaville Market...
... to gather some groceries!
While playing some chess, shew realises she's lost her fit figure again and would really like to gain it back.
One Unsavoury Charlatan moment later...
... and Carla is on her way back home...
... where it's Nora's turn to take care of North.
The penguin is back, approving of a random snowpile!
After some good learning is done...
... Nora cooks up some comfort soup...
... which the whole family gathers for to consume together, hopefully easing some of the flu that has been going around the household - I think at this point everyone has gotten (re)infected...
After feeding North something...
Nora gets hit with a strike of nausea - which isn't a known symptom of the flu...
... Nope, Nora's pregnant again instead.
After Carls returns from another late night jog, ready to become fit once more...
... Dave takes up the night shift again regarding North.
After a wash in a bath that is REALLY in need of a good scrubbing...
... the sun rises again, and Kora and Nate are awake once again.
While Kora plays with Agora right before school...
... Carla calls in sick, just to be safe.
With Keith having no work scheduled at all on Wednesday and Nora on her maternity leave, there are two now-healthy adults keeping the place running.
Dave is namely off to work, while Keith is taking care of North.
Nora meanwhile has hit the cleaning books.
For some reason she manages to earn TWO skill points in one morning!
After effectively potty training North...
... Keith has some quality time with the young 'un playing with the bunny head.
The kids return back from school, with grades to be proud of!
While Dave returns from his job as well...
... Kora and Nate work on their homework once more!
This is followed with some shared fun time in the snow!
While Kora and Nate are working on a snowman outside...
... Dave, bathing in the clean tub, is hit with a severe Elder's Cough!
Not just Dave is in trouble, look at Nate!
He really needs to warm up!
Nora somehow manages to empty the potty while North's still on it! A talented mother... huh.
With Dave, who is quite sick with both a flu AND an elder's cough in bed, Carla decides to get out once she's well-rested to avoid the flu catching her again...
She's reigniting her old passion of astronomy, when I spot Dave with a really bad bladder thinking about a tombstone...
Then he's having a coughing fit in the bathroom! Back to bed, old man, and once you're well-rested you'll get comfort soup i m m e d i a t e l y .
North learned from Nora how to talk and is now playing with the block toy.
Nora and Carla are sharing a bit of quality time together at the dining table.
Good news - with Keith healing well it's just Dave who's sick, everyone else is healthy again.
... Which is good because the baby belly is REALLY starting to show!
But then, a couple hours later, tragedy strikes!
I suspect it was the Elder's Cough, the message for that seems to be way more severely worded than Samantha's last round...
Despite Nora standing in between her and the Reaper, Carla manages to still plead with him for Dave's life...
... she chooses poorly...
Poor Dave... he wanted to see another grandchild so badly, but now won't get the opportunity...
Death's inevitability does it's job, and thus...
R.I.P. Dave Zuimelhof
Nora and Carla support each other in this time of loss...
Nora makes the family some omelettes, to try and cheer their spirits a little.
Just after the kids woke up, still grieving the death of their beloved grandfather, they got a message from school - the snow is too heavy, they're off!
Keith takes this opportunity to take his twins out...
... on a trip to the Veronaville Market.
There he goes and buys them new clothes for Spring.
While Keith is making the purchase...
... Kora and Nate have found Emilia Monty to play with!
Keith decides to go up and play a little with the guinea pig!
"Help me, pls..."
Playtime is over however, after the children try on their new fits.
With Karla at work it's just Nora and North out there.
After waking up, Nora gives her sister Dora a call, to share the news about Dave's passing.
Nora also has a call with a friend she made on her honeymoon, Kiyomi, to catch up with her again.
After that she invites over Dora for a solemn good-bye to their beloved father.
It'll also be North's birthday!
Dora has arrived!
After saying hi to her upcoming new family member...
... the family gathers in the backyard, to grieve Dave together and give him a proper resting place.
Afterwards the Zuimelhofs gather in the kitchen for North's birthday.
The candles are blown out...
... and North gains a growth spurt!
Dave's death did do some damage to North's aspiration, but luckily some love from Nora and Keith got things up a bit again.
After the spare bedroom gets redecorated to house one more child...
Keith gets the brilliant idea to hire a butler!
Then, with no diaper-wearers and ill people in the house, it's time for everyone to go to bed together...
For Carla this hits much harder - it's her first night without Dave next to her...
The nightly rest gets interrupted however, when Nora's contractions begin...

The family is here to celebrate their latest member!
Nora gives the latest addition to the family some love and attention...
... while the older kids get up and prepare for another day of school.
Winter does last a bit longer than normal, but once Nora's carpool arrives the season changes, marking the end of the round!
Next time we'll be playing the Travellers once again!
