"... Dottore!"
Viola Dottore. Long lost sister to Olivia Monty, née: Dottore.
Shortly after Olivia's marriage, someone came for Holofernes and Judith Dottore to take them out of the picture...
Viola was thought to be gone as well... but then *he* came, and saved her life.
The good young man and Viola fell in love and went into a steady relationship. But then.. disaster struck again. Olivia and her husband died under suspicious circumstances as well. Viola was the only one left...
... if it weren't for her and her good young man growing up, starting a life together and having Carlo together.
Then things went downhill again. She lost him. She couldn't save him like he could save her. Viola was alone in raising her young Carlo and her new-born Nicolette, who never knew her father.
The years were rough. While Viola was filled with a burning thirst to uncover the truth behind her family's deaths, fate bestowed the dry desert of ill luck upon her.
It wasn't until more years had passed, when Viola finally collected the means to move to Veronaville and finally learn who took away the lives of her beloved parents and sister.
She knows one thing for sure.
The one who robbed them of their lives, is of the blood of the Capp name.
Also Carlo...
... and Nicoletta moved along to Veronaville.
As the Dottores are new in town, we have to introduce their tastes and traits.
Viola: Brown, Brave, Frugal, Grumpy, Perceptive, Unlucky
Carlo: Blue, Active, Friendly, Neurotic
Nicolette: Pink, Easily Impressed, Perceptive, Unlucky
As for their abode...
The flophouse it is, for now.
While the children attend their first day on their new school, Viola starts her conversation with the landlord.
She chooses an apartment...
... and signs the contract, officially settling her roots in Veronaville.
The apartment is a crowded space however, with merely enough room for 3 beds, a few desks and toys, and a chair.
The other apartment dwellers have arrived, too - and the contrast cannot be any bigger between them.
Viola has no time for them however, her first step into her Capp research is about to begin and she needs help at home for when the children return from school.
Dang the landlord is being mean...
Poor Brenda.
Viola has other things on her mind however. Off to work!
A couple hours later, Carlo and Nicoletta return from school.
The two of them hang out a bit...
... before a mysterious phone call comes in... Could this be a clue?
That's what Viola will have to think about when she returns back home... But Carlo certainly does NOT have a clue how to watch television!
Viola comes home from work.
After gaining a mechanical skill point...
... she goes out to the cemetary!
Perhaps Viola can find a couple clues here, or meet a couple locals who may help out?
The first thing of note happening is Quince Summerdream turning into a Werewolf - remarkable, but Quince is clearly too young to know anything of the past...
Hmm is that a ghost hovering around?
Never mind that... Trista Shaw was looking at Viola the wrong way.. she better not be aligned with the Capps or anything!
Viola stumbles upon two very meaningful graves for her...
"So here's where they are resting..."
Then... the ghost struck!
Which tanked Viola's needs BADLY.
Perhaps Viola should visit the Strip first and eat a little before returning home...
... welp, not the best burgers.
At least this older lady is interested in a bite and a talk-- and hey, her name is Monty? She could be a person of interest...
While helping herself to a second burger, Viola notices someone walking by who DOES absolutely have some Olivia in his face, but also a bit of Olivia's husband Claudio... Could be he a Monty too?
After cleaning herself up a little...
... Viola approaches the man.
"Good evening... do you happen to know the Monty family?"
"Uh.. Yeah, I'm Mercutio Monty. Can I help you?"
"I'm.. Viola Dottore, your mother Olivia is my older sister."
After exchanging contact info, Viola finds herself back at the flophouse...
... where she does her best to rest a bit while Nicoletta is busy playing rocket.
While Carlo works on his body skill...
... Viola gets ready to take care of her other dire needs...
... just as the kids go to bed.
Soon Viola finds herself back in bed, too.
The Dottores just had their first Veronaville night.
While the children have their first pancakes...
... Viola rearranges the furniture.
The desks were giving too many routing issues, and any eaters were bringing their plates upstairs.
Just as her carpool arrives, Viola had a bit of small talk with Brenda. A tie which may prove valuable later. After all, she has been seeing Romeo Monty. . .
Under the *ahem* watchful eye of the nanny, the children return.
Carlo got an A even!
The kids bond a bit in the afternoon, and then Viola comes home from her investigation job. . .
Viola joins the family bonding, where Carlo once again showcases his unnatural TV watching abilities.
Viola calls up Mercutio Monty after helping both Carlo and Nicoletta with their homework...
... while the two of them have a fun time with the dollhouse, Viola hears out Mercutio Monty about the recent tragic passing of Amy Platz, by the hands of a Capp.
Although it seems that the Capp responsible is already sitting in jail and too young to be responsible for the deaths of Olivia and Claudio,
After that interesting exchange, Viola does consider Mercutio a valuable ally in her quest for vengeance and justice.
After piecing together this new information in the grand scheme of things...
... Viola calls it a day.
A new day then begins.
Because it's the weekend, Viola will have more quality time with the kids in the morning.
Maybe they'll find a few new peers at the strip, while Viola can search around for more leads.
Nicoletta is quick to say hi to Kora Zuimelhof.
She sadly has to leave quickly, while Carlo is getting some love from his mum.
A sheer contrast with the fighting going on indoors - Just your average day in Veronaville.
Then a clown car with visitors arrives.
Among them is local social butterfly Titania Summerdream! She may be a very valuable key contact. . .
While the outdoors offer the people food and entertainment...
... a fight occurs indoors, between Nora and the grandest incel of them all.
Hal wins...
... but has no body skill to actually pose a threat, a situation his Capp peers certainly would like to see changed...
Back outside, Viola meets one of the biggest key faces in her investigation - it's the current Capp head Juliette!
But, the awkward introduction is cut short by another brawl!
Pamela DOES have body skill points... but doesn't utilize them to the point of a murder occuring.
Viola decides it may be for the best to get the children out of there.
Back at the flop house there's time for some family fun...
... before the nanny has to be called again...
And Viola is walking off to her job once more.
... oh... oof.
At least Carlo manages to squeeze out a body skill point before going on an extra nap.
... Hmm, why not have some frozen banana?
NICE!
And she doesn't have to get to the new shift immediately!
Time to take care of the bills...
... while Nicoletta tries to call Kora.
After having lunch as a family...
... Viola tries to call Mercutio again, but alas.
The Dottores use this time to themselves...
... and then Kora calls back!
This got followed by a call from Mercutio, just as Carlo got into birthday range.
The evening passed by quietly and soon...
... it was time to sleep once more.
A night's rest later, and a new dawn is upon the flophouse.
Time for the kids to jump rope...
... while Viola apparently didn't have a good rest, harassing Edward Mellon in the morning.
After having something to eat...
... the Dottores go out and hang out at Pentameter Parkway!
While Carlo meets Oscar Ottomas...
... Viola meets Bianca Roseland, who IS a Monty by blood...
Carlo tries to impress Oscar with some tricks.. but isn't too successful yet.
Perhaps the living statue performer can inspire him a little?
It's not too effective so far.
While Oscar gets distracted by his main squeeze...
... Viola found herself pickpocketed by Cyd Roseland!
She notices Cyd repeating the same shtick with Carla McCullough...
... checks for her own wallet, to realise it's missing...
... and then officially decides to confront him!
Round 1!!!
Results in a Viola loss, and §150 more stolen from her...
Viola went for the second round! She's saving up that money for a bigger goal!
Much better!
I rolled the numbers 56 and 44 as outcomes of these fights.. which means no bloodshed - it'd be awkward if Viola got hauled off to jail in her first week in Veronaville. . .
. . . Hopefully Bianca will not mind too much.
Meanwhile Nicoletta stumbled upon Kora!
The two of them became good friends!
Olivia also talked with Titania Summerdream and befriended her - which may give her more ties to other Veronaville families ...
... before going back home!
Back at the flophouse...
Due to her new work hours, Viola had to schedule a different nanny.
And when Viola's away...
... the kids will... invite more kids over!
Kora's grandma Carla came over too to oversee the playdate.
Bestie time!
Carlo just enjoyed a good book...
... before gaining another skill point jumping rope.
Uh oh, DANGIT BERTHA!
No Titania, she's at work!
Carlo wants to make a friend!
Oscar may be his best bet for now...
Fiiiiine, she'll be home in just a little bit.
... But not just be home, Viola got herself a promotion!
While Carlo earns another skill point...
Titania makes best friends with Viola!
And then.. it's time for a celebration!
The candles are blown...
But sadly, because no official party is going on, we'll not be seeing the cinematic.
One jump later and Carlo is a TEEN!
I decided NOT to use the calculator this time - Carlo feels like a 'pillar of the community' kind of guy and Popularity will go well with that.
He also rolled the Irresistible trait.
Time to go on a quick solo outing.
The Stratford Strip has anything a young teen needs.
Cellphones.
New clothes.
And a quick walk home when the rains are coming.
After a quick bite...
... it's time for everyone to jump into their beds.
The next morning winter has come upon the Dottores. Our call to end the regular houses PROPERLY this time around.
To be continued
