Monty Ranch
Previously at Monty Ranch: While Mercutio and Carla started building up a more responsible grown-up lifestyle with their careers and a baby in the nearby future, Romeo still has a wild romantic streak that needs to be satisfied before he'd consider settling down. And one way of his to quench that thirst for love is to go on a holiday to Twikkii Island, where we left off halfway during his stay there.
After scoring his first woohoo on sunny Twikkii Island, Romeo heads off to the Ancient Ruins of Nunchuck.
Romeo, incorrigible Romance Sim that he is, immediately started to butter up potential romance targets. Some less receptive...
But some...
... a bit more!
Now that some hearts have started floating around, Romeo does have to watch his step more careful in order to avoid situations like with Juliette back in college.
At least he doesn't seem to mind others flirting behind his back.
After buying himself a souvenir...
Romeo found himself at a hotel with a restaurant.
Followed by a visit to the Boardwalk again.
After chatting up a fellow tourist...
Romeo updated his tanning strategy - tan during the rain!
He eventually realised the strategy was not effective - time to go home...
But not to sleep in or anything...
Romeo put his eyes on his next conquest!
It takes some smooth talking at first...
But soon things take off to the serious business.
Et voilá! It's a catch!
Another woohoo scored!
A good date was completed!
A new morning!
A new lady to score with!
A gifted rose is the key...
... to unlock the road to more romantic pursuits.
And soon our lovebirds find themselves in the bedroom.

Time to go to the pirate beach!
And - holy shit Romeo is tanning PROPERLY now!
Afterwards Romeo did the vacation thing and went on a tour!
Dangit. Itches are the WORST.
Being at the pirate ship Romeo decided to explore the captain's cabin.

Inspired by his musical growth, Romeo decided to dig in the sands.
It's a catch!
Yeah, Romeo's no longer in the mood to keep digging - time to head home.
Only one thing that can improve his mood.
Another date! He prefers doing the catching himself!

If only Romeo's aftershower wasn't interrupted by his conquest using the toilet..

Overcoming his earlier trauma with digging in the sand, Romeo finds something more useful this time...

A good ending tour-wise!
... if only Romeo still had his job as a slacker, Mechanical would've been useful for that career.
He still has another shot to try and befriend Martina however, right as they meet at the picnic table once again.
It takes some efforts but it actually works out in the end.. though I'm not sure how receptive she'd be for more advanced romance.
Time to go back home for the last night at Sunny Twikkii Island.
It shan't be a lonely night though.
After dinner together...
... Romeo makes some advances on Aleka...
... which ended all hot and steamy.
While the night passes by, we have a look at the local wildlife - the chubby tropical penguin.
It's the morning of Romeo's departure, but he's craving for some last-minute love with Jin-Ae.
All seems to be going well...

... Really really well...
... But ughh, couldn't that shuttle have waited for one more minute?? He literally got her in his bed!
Now the bed has to stay outside until someone returns!
Home sweet home...
After choosing his vacation benefits...
... Romeo wanted to call a girl over for some steamy time - only to figure out that people back home have JOBS.
Who apparently do NOT have jobs are all the Twikkii Island locals who somehow ALL show up at Romeo's place at the same time???
Now that's a lot of flowers - just as Romeo was thinking again of one of his first bouquets - the one from his date with Kendra on the day grandpa Patrizio died...
Mercutio came home just in time to see the horde of lovers leave the please, scratches his head in mild wonder and then announces his promotion at the family restaurant!
Romeo did another calling round and found out that Pamela Landry just got home.
While waiting for her to arrive, Aleka comes back with ANOTHER bouquet? Better hide those things before Pamela's here.
There she is - and she's pissed at the maid.
.. I don't think it'd be a good idea if she showed up here, Mercutio.
Soon enough the hearts start floating...
... and we find Romeo in his familiar territory in the bedroom.
Another catch on the tally.
And with Pamela deciding to actually sleep in the bed, Romeo decided to take off...
...to FM, Downtown.
There he had time to meet up with Whatshername Thesloblady.
Love blossoms...
... and is sealed with a kiss on the lips!
A visit to the photo booth follows.
On his way out, Romeo met with Jessica Picaso.
Next stop:
The Lulu Lounge!
Where Romeo fell in the arms of Ivy Platz.
On thing complicating the matter - college sweetheart Ericka Thompson is also lurking around the lounge... which means Romeo has to improvise and turn a smooth handhold into a game of red hands.
Improvisation is hard however when you're burying your tongue in Ivy's mouth and Pamela Landry (wasn't she just in Romeo's bed?) barges in.
I guess she's sleepwalking?
Wake-up call to Pamela!
Maybe that's a sign for the others to get out as well...
... for Romeo and Ivy need all the room in there they can get!...
What a way to reach 20 woohoos! Romeo has reached his Lifetime Want!
Time to go home while on that high...
Back at home it felt like the right time to put a secondary goal in Romeo's life. And Family feels like the right thing - the wild Casanova who also feels the obligation to commit.
At least, he feels it's his duty to prepare the next generation of Montys to be worthy carriers of the family torch.
Small check-up on Pamela - she did indeed go out and get blasted with lightning at the club, before going back to bed. What a talented sleepwalker she is.
The Montys in the meanwhile have started dinner.
While Romeo's love life so far has consisted of debauchery, Mercutio and Carla's romantic life is way more wholesome.
The same can sadly not be said about Carla's relationship with Pamela Landry.
Yet Carla is the one who gets the short end of the stick?
While Romeo hits the hay early, Mercutio is staying up to work on his chess...
... and Carla works on her rocking rolls, earning her second skill point this post!
Sleep well!
The next morning...
... having let go of his dream to become a slacker, Romeo finds a job at the family restaurant instead.
With Twikkii Island behind us for now, the daily grind of fixing and cleaning things in the household begins once more.
Romeo at least manages to earn a logic skill point...
... right before work, when Mercutio takes over the chess table.
After playing some video games with Carla...
... the carpool arrives for Mercutio as well...
... giving Carla all the time she needs for an afternoon nap.
Welcome back Romeo - Guess you're much better as a cook than as a slacker.
He celebrated his success with teaching Maxx a new neat trick.
With Mercutio still at work it's dinner for two.
... but soon enough he's back home, not with a promotion but still with a good paycheck.
While Mercutio hits the chess table again, Romeo heads off once more.
Time to see who's hanging out at The Hub?

... and Juliette Capp???
Romeo is hopeful that Juliette may forgive him after what happened to college.
... Juliette is not on the same wavelength however.
But wait - Romeo still has an ace up his sleeve - a smooth rose.
Juliette seems to fall for it...
But then realises that she doesn't want anything to do with criminal scum like the Montys!
Romeo is confuzzled - this is the first time his rose trick did NOT work?
But Juliette insists that Romeo doesn't stand any chance whatsoever with her.
Dejected, Romeo goes down to the Club of the Hub - where he meets Gretchen Stompel.
The floating hearts made him forget his miss with Juliette in a heartbeat.
We find Romeo again in the position of making out with someone while Whatshername Thesloblady is watching.
And soon a fight breaks out.
Luckily for Romeo it doesn't involve him.
Instead it's his uncle Antonio getting the rough end of the fist.
"Hey Serdar, buddy! Look at my tappy skills!"
While at the bar Romeo also noticed Juliette secretly swooning at him.
Maybe kissing Naenae Jalowitz would make Juliette realise what she's missing out on?
It seems to kinda work?
One steamy makeout session later...
... and I notice that three of Romeo's other lovers are also on the dance floor, yet none of them seem bothered by Romeo's advances.
I should have a look at that if one of the trait mods I installed has a weird side effect - but to be completely honest I do like the idea of Romeo still being at risk of his lovers not liking his romantic dishonesty....
Back at home.
Carla and Mercutio work a bit more on their skills...
... before hitting the hay.
They need to be well-rested, because a big day is upon us...
Before we get to that, the Montys have breakfast together...
... followed by some quality time in the living nook.
Soon enough Romeo finds Kendra McCarthy walking by.
Remembering the good times they had in the past, Kendra helps Romeo boost his reputation.
But then - the special thing happens...

Everyone is here to greet and congratulate!
After Emilia got the bottle, Carla gave her to Mercutio so that he could have some quality time with his newborn child.
Romeo says his goodbyes to Kendra for now...
... so that he and Mercutio can go off to work...
... leaving Carla to rock out at home while Emilia's asleep.
While Romeo's at work, he got the chance card to tend the table of famous star Paula Plumbbob. Will he forego tips to tend to her specific wishes?
Of course he does. And it's rewarded with a big promotion!
Welcome home early, Romeo!
While Carla bathes Maxx...
... and Romeo calls up with Martina...
... Mercutio got HIS chance card.
Kaching!
Carla's drinking up some espresso for an extra caffeine boost...
... so that she has enough energy for Emilia's birthday!
The guests arrive...
... Romeo's skill point arrives...
... Cyd Roseland's pickpocket tricks arrive...
... Mercutio arrives...
... and Kendra's prowess in a good old-fashioned fistfight arrive.
If Romeo indeed decides to put a ring on Kendra I better keep an eye on her and Benedick at family reunions - it's rough already when Cornwall and Kent are at the same place.
To distract the fighters, Carla brings Emilia to the cake...

I can definitely see Emilia's taking her mum more.. though maybe the mouth is Mercutio's. On the inside she's definitely taking after to Mercutio.
As for her traits, Emilia is Neurotic, Loves the Heat and likes Pink.
... sadly for now, the police came to break up this party. Good-bye everyone!
While Romeo and Carla hit the hay...
... Mercutio takes the nightshift taking care of Emilia.
She seems to develop a creative streak already.
Dad compliments his kid's work while she enjoys a bottle...
... before being put in the crib for a good night's sleep.
Mercutio goes to bed...
... Carla gets up...
... and ancestor Bassanio Monty goes back to his grave, for it's the first morning of Winter and it's time to say our goodbyes to the Ranch for now! Next post we'll be catching up with the Summerdreams!
Will Romeo commit to Kendra, per his locked want? Or will he find another Sim to court instead? We'll find out next round!
