Round 3-9 (Norman)

Norman Family
After the nasty divorce, Albany Norman found himself kicked out to the flophouse, having to fend for himself again and seperated from his children. Miranda, the oldest of the bunch who believed that her mother was the one in the wrong, decided to tag along with her father to support him in these difficult times and even took on her father's birth name. Can they manage to turn things around for the better?

The two of them sign the contract, and then they are official tenants of the flophouse.

With the spare money they got and some items both of them managed to take along, Miranda and Albany managed to add a slight touch of personal taste, but it isn't much.

Luckily for them there are living facilities downstairs for them to make use of - including a cafeteria with it's own cook!

Trista Shaw, Victor Lillard and Regina Tsvirkunov make for their fellow tenants.

Miranda rolled the want to gain some charisma, which is always a useful skill to have in future careers.

By the time she received that point, Albany decided to help out the cook by making everyone pancakes and making some extra money in the process.

Miranda got a second skill point and... rolled wants to buy basic household items... I guess she hasn't realised there's a toilet right next to her.

Miranda and Albany take a break to have lunch together... and for some reason they use their own bedroom instead of the shared space. Are they THAT snobby?

In the afternoon Miranda hangs out with Regina watching music videos while Albany works in the kitchen again.

Her friend Chris Cho walks by, giving Miranda the opportunity to hang out with her.

The evening passes by calmly...

And not long after it's bedtime for both of them.

The next morning, and Miranda wants to go on a date! - and buy more household items...

I give in.

But for now... let's see if Mallory is up for some fun.

... and soon...

The girls meet at the favourite hangout spot at this side of the river!

The two of them go on a slow dance together and Miranda is quick to officially fall in love.

She is soon followed by Mallory.

From there on out the girls go heavy on each other!

They ceaselessly keep romancing each other...

... leaving both of them in bliss when their date ends.

Miranda returns home, and then she wants to work on her charisma once more.

While Miranda was in the bathrooms talking to the mirror, Mallory snuck in to bring along another red bouquet.

After working in the cafeteria all day, Albany happens to be in dire need for a break, yet Chef Bertha didn't show up at all!

Eventually Albany has to give in and take some time off.

Miranda got a call from her youngest brother Adrian, how nice of him to make an effort to get to know his oldest sister.

After the call ended I left everyone to their own devices, so Miranda decided to play some chess and - wowie - got more logic skill points!

She also rolled a want to eat hamburgers - and because she doesn't have the required cooking skills to make them I take it as a cue to work on her cooking skill.

Another person who needs to work on his cooking skill is Albany, who set the kitchen on fire!

Luckily everyone had the decency to get outside as the sprinklers made an end to the fire.

After that inconvenience Miranda goes up to her room to bring up some memories on her dates with Mallory.

After that it's time for both her and Albany to get some sleep.

The next morning...

Albany goes and does the cooking in a kitchen that's still flooded from all the sprinklers, whule Miranda wants to play some more chess.

It's officially Monday which means that Miranda has to go back to school as well.

Albany has to run the kitchen again because the cafeteria cook didn't show up again. At least it's making him some extra money.

But as Miranda got back from school, the kitchen got set on fire AGAIN.

While Albany was staying away from the fire in the falling snow, a REALLY peculiar snowflake dropped down near him.

According to anyone who would walk in on him, Albany had a fight in the bathroom with thin air.

Albany was convinced however that he taught the Social Bunny a lesson.

The social bunny then stood right in front of Albany watching TV with his daughter, which bothered him and concerned Miranda.

Miranda took it upon her to help her father clean up the kitchen a bit...

... followed by having some father-daughter bonding at a shared bowl of mac 'n chees-- Wait, is that Juliette just randomly walking in?

I didn't invite her over whatsoever. Huh.

Miranda got her father a second bowl of food, giving them more time to chat and take care of him.

After putting her father in better spirits, Miranda sees Juliette and decides to play some chess with her.

The evening goes by and soon it's time for sleep once more.

Then it's another morning, the final day of the season once more...

--- NOT AGAIN!

... I guess this was the reason Albany got married into the Capp family in the first place - cooking is a Monty thing after all, and Albany may be the WORST cook so far, making his and Goneril's offspring as unMontylike as possible...

After that incident, Miranda runs off to not miss the school bus while Albany cleans up the mess.

Today wasn't Albany's best day - as he also got interrogated by the home owner about the overdue rent.

At least Albany managed to hand over the rent in physical cash in person, which frees up his mind on doing the cooking once more. Also look at that cute penguin!

Miranda then got a hobby card...

... but chose a bit poorly. To be fair I don't mind the hobby enthusiasm loss too much.

Miranda got home from school and brought home David Ottomas - the son of the guy her mother kicked her and Albany out for!

Huh. Small world.

I guess it's the pure fact that Peter ran off from his children too that David doesn't get kicked out at once by Albany.

Miranda sees David's romantic interest Chris walk by and lets her in. This gives Miranda the idea to have a double date... but Mallory sadly is at work.

While Miranda works on her cooking skill again to learn how to make hamburgers, Albany gets messages that he's losing touch with the Capp family. Ouch.

David and Chris seems to have a good time together.

Regina.. less so. Rest in peace computer!

While becoming eligible to grow up, Miranda manages to learn the recipe for hamburgers.

She gives it a first shot... and promptly burns the poor burgers.

Her second shot is more successful.

Miranda briefly chats with Chris before going to bed, making best friends with her.

While everyone is asleep, Chris manages to break the television, too! Poor unfortunate electronics.

Look who finally shows up again to do her job this morning! It's Chef Bertha!
Hopefully she won't set the kitchen on fire thrice.

But as the morning is about to break in, it's time to leave Miranda and Albany at the beginning of the spring and move on to the next family - which happens to be the Ottomas clan! How will they rise up from Peter leaving them?

To be continued
