Ramaswami Family
Previously at the Ramaswami Family: While Priya embarked on a journey to lose some weight and gain a more fit body, Sanjay reached the top of his musical abilities! Little Chandrika was also there, attending school and making a few friends.
We start the round off quietly, with little Chandrika waking up from her sleep.
Priya is also up early, and ready for a jog.
A quick run through Veronaville is enough to kick her body into peak shape again!
While Chandrika is off to school and Priya takes some breakfast before work...
... Sanjay rocks it out on the guitar!
He.. quickly has to take care of a bug problem he noticed...
... until Priya and Chandrika come home from work and school respectively - and Chandrika got an A+!
It's the first day of winter, which means that it's time for a New Year's Bash, and the Ramaswamis won't say no to a good reason for a party...
Chandrika's hard work has to come with a reward though...
She's getting a little kitty just like she wanted!
Let's name the little rascal Baagh!
Welcome to the family Baagh!
Have a treat!
... a treat almost the size as Baagh himself, that is.
It's now 8pm and the guests for the New Year's Bash have arrived!
... I didn't realise I put both Peter and Samantha on the invite list though...
Oops.
Peter's short stint as a Werewolf did boost his body skill a little, but at least Samantha's still around.
What party isn't complete without Pizza and Cyd Roseland pickpocketing people?
It doesnt take long for Father Time to arrive.
He raises his hourglass...
... yeets it on the ground...
... and dances the new year in!
It was at this moment that Romeo decided to make a move on Pamela Landry, just as one of his other lovers, Gretchen, was standing nearby.
If things couldn't get any worse, Cyd Roseland ALSO managed to knock down the wall television!
Quite the eventful ending to the party, isn't it?
Like, HOW?
Anyhow, the party was a big success.
Time to rest well...
... and start off the new day with Chandrika playing with her new friend.
While Priya and Sanjay get up...
... Chandrika earns herself a skill point for Creativity!
Chandrika is off to school while Priya has a quick brekkie before she has to head out, too.
After a nice bath...
... Sanjay takes it upon him to clean out the dead garden to make way for possibly something new in the Spring.
Priya comes back home and first takes care of the bills.
She then goes and cleans up Chandrika's toys.
".. Mum, I was playing with that?!"
Priya then takes care of a couple calls to make, and manages to score a promotion through a tie with Mr Big...
... while Sanjay heads out for his concert.
Sorry Peter, you're just a couple minutes late.
That does mean Chandrika has a little time to call her classmate Edmund.
This gives Priya the opportunity to play a bit with little Baagh.
One friendship later...
... and Priya realises the family is almost out of food.
With Sanjay being at work there's no time to go buy food however without leaving Chandrika home alone.
At least Chandrika is making a bit of extra pocket money while Priya...
... gets busy emptying the garden.
Soon it's late at night, and Sanjay comes back home.
While Sanjay is having a bath, Priya notices she's lost her shape again and wants to regain it.
Perhaps the next day we'll get to it...
The next morning Sanjay and Chandrika share breakfast together right before...
... Chandrika is off to school and Sanjay is off...
... to Perimeter Parkway to go and...
... restock the house's groceries.
I also realised that the dog in the display looks quite a lot like the Monty's dog.. Huh.
Now that the pet store's nearby anyway we may as well purchase a collar for Baagh when he's a big cat.
Home sweet home, where Priya has to skip breakfast because the carpool arrived and she slept in...
After storing away the groceries...
... Sanjay has a bit of quality time with the little house tiger :D
While he answers a call from Romeo Monty next...
... little Baagh goes outside to use the litter box.. huh.
Ah, there he is.
Sanjay rescues the little kitten from the mean cold outdoors and brings him inside for a good tickle session.
Priya and Chandrika then return home - Priya with a promotion she's owed by a network deal she made!
Chandrika also brought in a frie-- .. wait where did the bus go?
Oh, there Archer is! *hides the SimBlender in the buy mode stash*
While Chandrika was outside playing, Sanjay got a call for her from her old friend Edmund.
While she answered that call, Priya got back from another job and officially became fit again.
Chandrika and Archer played together in the snow...
... after which Archer called it a day and left.
Just in time before Sanjay set the kitchen on fire!
Luckily the firefighters made quick work of the disaster.
After Sanjay made a new batch, the family had dinner together.
About time to go to bed and relax from the day.
A new day, and Chandrika got up first.
She put up her lemonade stand again, but the newspaper boy wasn't interested...
At least Mum's willing to support her daughter.
After rocking out on his guitar...
... Sanjay takes care of the bills.
He takes care of some more household chores while Priya is off to her new job.
The new job does sadly mean that she won't return at the same time as Chandrika anymore...
While Sanjay and Chandrika prep for the evening, Priya encounters a story potential at her job...
... She chooses wisely!
As a reward she doesn't only return home early, she also is back home just in time for...
... Chandrika's birthday party!
The guests have arrived.
The cake is ready.
Chandrika blows out the candles...
... makes the jump out of her innocent childhood...
... and into her rebellious teens!
She grew up in the same outfit and hairstyle as her friend Minola Roseland. Hmm...
I once again whipped my Aspiration Calculator to decide what direction Chandrika's life would take. A bit surprised with Pleasure, but I could see it go that way, especially if Chandrika may be looking up to copy Minola, who is a Romance Sim...
While Chandrika helps herself to some cake...
... Priya makes fun of Romeo getting figured out at the last party!
Romeo has to retreat himself a little to cope with Priya's mockery, but instead manages to walk in on the birthday girl using the bathroom. Whoops.
Nora Zuimelhof then calls in, wanting to have a chat with Priya.
But then the cops arrive, quick to put an end to the ruckus of the party!
With the party over, we move on to the Stratford Strip.
There Chandrika has come to buy herself a new cellphone.
She also decided to visit the clothes shop and is now gathering herself a new wardrobe.
And there we go - a new look that's more of her own but still clearly inspired by Minola.
Time to go back home...
... and add some items on her bedroom walls...
... before calling it a day and going to bed.
A new morning has arrived. As Sanjay and Priya get up, the warmer glow of spring is upon them. A beautiful sign of new life to come, but we'll have to wait for their next happenings until the next round.
Also before I forget for good, Priya and Sanjay's hairs have gone grey, and Chandrika has rolled the trait Hopeless Romantic... Quite fitting for her idolising Minola, but still with her own spin on it.
