The Norman-Mace-Ryan Household
Previously at the Norman-Mace-Ryan Household: The two befriended couples Miranda + Mallory and Curtis + Victor decided to pile their funds together and buy two houses sharing the same lot. In this new construction Miranda and Mallory also tied the knot together!
We start things off where we left them off last time, which is Victor swimming in the pool outside while the mess from the wedding party is still lying around...
While Victor enjoys his day off...
... Miranda and Mallory have some fun on their own.
Curtis meanwhile...
... he decided to enter the morally correct path by trying to enter a job in architecture.
Sadly the job offerings didn't have any openings.
After discussing things with Mallory during breakfast...
... Miranda officially got Family as a secondary aspiration...
She and Mallory had a visit at Victor and Curtis', talking about the future of their family...
Curtis and Victor agreed with them, making a plan...
A bit later...
... Mallory got pregnant with Victor's baby...
... whereas Miranda...
... would be having a baby with Curtis, each household getting one baby to rise as their own.
Not long after, Mallory's carpool arrived, her final day before her midweek free days kick in.
Having the house to herself, Miranda sat behind the computer again and started to work on her novel.
In the meanwhile, Victor picked up the phone to give that friendly fellow Randy Capp a call.
Not soon after the two were friends.
Miranda got a call from Nora Zuimelhof, which ended up in an invitation!
... and then Mallory was home already.
Mallory made dinner for 4 and earned a cooking skill point in the process.
Then... something else happened - Last time at the Summerdream house, Oberon bit Miranda, turning her into a Werewolf. Miranda hasn't gotten any cures so far...
... yet transforming didn't trigger any wants to get a cure...
Instead it was Mallory who got a want to go on a date! With Miranda right there, it's easy to fulfill.
... that is, as long as the morning sickness doesn't ruin their night together.
That minor stumble aside, things moved to the bedroom real fast...
... and soon...
..... Mallory found herself spooned by a fluffy Werewolf all night.
The next morning, Miranda got out early to transform back into her human form.
This was followed by more morning sickness, now actually occuring in the morning.
Victor's weekend has come to an end, and he's off to work to go into space!
Might as well buy a hot tub with the flux of extra money coming in. The ladies want one, anyways...
Hopefully it won't get stolen though, like Cyd Roseland just did with the newspaper.
Mallory earns herself another skill point for cooking...
... when the learning process gets interrupted by her first baby bump!
She gets an ominous phone call...
After Victor comes home and takes care of the bills...
... Miranda gets her first baby bump!
While the two now visibly pregnant wives have their salad for dinner, Miranda gets a notification that she and Juliette are no longer friends.
Which makes one wonder, did Miranda's decision to turn away from the Capp name, combined with Juliette's newly found commitment to the Capp name and it's traditions, put a strain on their bond?
If Miranda did stick to the Capp name, she would've been continuing the family line simply by being a woman in the family...
But with Miranda turning away and her younger sister Desdemona dead, there's only Juliette, Hermia and Ariel who can continue the family line...
But then again, who needs to fit in within the rigid Capp family structures when there's lots of friendships and happiness found outside of it?
Like, maxing out your creativity skill! Or learning more things about cooking!
Or lazily watching your beloved wife turn back into a fluffy anthropomorphic wolf?
Or... falling asleep face first in a plate of spaghetti while having dinner with your wolf wife??
Mallory went to bed after that little accident. Miranda however, was filled to the brim with energy, and did a couple chores while losing her best friend status with Juliette as well.
Having some time just to herself, Miranda finishes her latest novel...
She made another bestseller!
Celebration dance before going to bed!
Meanwhile, the menfolk in the other house got up early.
While Victor went on an early morning swim...
... Curtis checked the job openings once again - still no luck.
Then the women got up again.
After sharing belly rubs together...
... Miranda gave her own novel another try...
... while Mallory jumped in the pool with Victor.
Curtis put the final strokes on his masterpiece and made some good side money, too.
After finishing reading her book, Miranda got motivated to write another one, one she may read to her little one on the way later on...
Mallory got a call from the local slob, who promised her a guaranteed promotion at work... which is kinda redundant because Mallory is eligible for one already...
Oh well, time to have lunch...
... before Mallory's second bump kicks in!
Welcome home Victor, bringing in the dough and ready for another swim!
Miranda's second baby bump kicks in, and then the day goes by pretty calmly...
... and then the night falls, causing Miranda's Werewolf form to come out once again!
While Victor goes on a jog...
... Mallory receives an ominous call: "They're coming soon. Maybe you should think twice about opening the door."
Then the door opens...
"Did any of you answer the phone? Ours was ringing but then it stopped suddenly."
".. Huh. Was just a silly prank call."
"Oh. Oh well."
Curtis gets himself a canned dinner...
... before he and Victor hit the hay.
With Mallory asleep too, Miranda has a bit of time to crunch to work on her children's book...
... before she goes to bed, too.
A new dawn is upon the expecting couples.
While Miranda assumes her human form again...
... Curtis *finally* finds the job opening he's been looking for!
Gotcha!
Victor was a bit less successful cooking breakfast that morning.
It didn't stop him and Curtis from reaching the carpool on time, however.
After the ladies have pancakes together...
... Mallory spends her time reading physiology books...
... while Miranda takes a bath-- Oh hi Victor!
I recall that the last time I got to deal with a fish like this it was bad sooo...
... oh, alas. Sometimes you just cannot win those hobby cards.
The imminent mothers spend some quality time together watching TV.
Then Victor comes home from work, takes care of the bills...
... and randomly picks up Agora Zuimelhof for a hug.
"Noo, don't pick me, my other human needs me and it's cold alone outside."
Then Mallory starts having contractions...
It's a boy! And his eyes really remind me of the famous Knut Futa...
After everyone comes to cheer for Knut...
... it's Miranda's turn to give birth!
She names her little baby boy after her late father, Albany.
Here are two proud parents.
Proud parents whose babies are about to become toddlers already!
First is Knut...
He seems to be taking after Mallory a lot.
Then it's Albany's turn to age up...
He looks a lot like Miranda, but the shape of his head reminds me more of Curtis.
Miranda and Curtis bring their toddlers to the potty.
After Albany finished his business, Miranda turned into a Werewolf again.
... and no, that's not just a winter furcoat, she gained a bit of weight as well.
As for the toddlers: Knut seems to be an artistic brave boy who likes the colour white...
... while Albany is an eccentric loner who likes the colour red.
It is very late however - time for everyone to get a well-needed rest.
Although... Miranda doesn't need to sleep for now, she has some time to eat and relax before working a bit on her novel.
After a couple hours little Knut gets up from his bed.
Victor is right there to bring him to the potty again.
Miranda does the same with Albany.
After that she tries to teach him how to walk...
... but then 6am kicks in, Miranda turns back in her human form...
... and Curtis takes over for Victor, so that he may get something to eat, just as it's time to switch households again.
How will these connected couples deal with the demands and lessons that come with toddlerhood? We'll find out next season... but first, next time we'll be catching up with Hermia Capp and Randy! Will they join in the ranks of parenthood?
